Dear Wuhan,

UNESCO Learning City since 2016,

central city in the Changjiang River Basin,

one of the cradles of the Changjiang River Civilization,

Welcome back!! We missed you, and are happy to see you safe and healthy again!

On this beautiful Spring day, UNESCO applauds the amazing health workers who have fought and are still fighting so hard in Wuhan, in Hubei, in China, and everywhere around the world, to protect us from the COVID-19 pandemic!

And a very special applause goes from UNESCO to our very own United Nations health workers: our incredibly dedicated colleagues from the World Health Organization (WHO). Thank you for your expertise, your professionalism, and your compassion!
