We are pleased to inform you that UNESCO's International Hydrological Programme co-organizes from 6 to 9 November 2018 the 8th Global FRIEND-Water Conference in Beijing, China in 2018. The IHP Secretariat would appreciate if you circulate this information among your networks.

The conference shall help in identifying solutions for the the implementation of Sustainable Development Goals and particularly water related targets, by improving the knowledge base on multidisciplinary approaches for evidence-based decision-making. This 8th Global FRIEND-Water Conference conference is expected to gather more than 300 water scientists from all over the world drawing from the eight FRIEND networks.  Abstracts for this global conference can be submitted until 30 April 2018 via the website of the conference http://8thfriendwater.iwhr.org/40?lang=en
