G-WADI Global Conference 揥ater and sustainable development for arid region river basins?

Summary: The goal of the G-WADI network is to promote the global capacity for management of water resources in arid and semi-arid areas. By building a global network, regional and international cooperation can be enhanced so as to increase knowledge and improve management practices through the sharing of information. After a decade of actions, the G-WADI global network will held a commemorative Conference to highlight 10 years of achievements and will focused on preparing the new goals and agenda for the coming years. The theme of the Conference will be: 揥ater and sustainable development for arid region river basins?
- G-WADI: Achievements of a decade and the next step (overview of G-WADI by G-WADI scientific advisory committee members, keynotes by invited speakers, and presentations by regional representatives);
- Integrated modelling and forecasting of the ecological-hydrological-economic system for arid region river basins;
- Remote sensing products of precipitation, evapotranspiration, soil moisture, leaf area index, net primary productivity, and other key eco-hydrological variables in arid region;
- New generation decision support system for integrated River Basin management;
- Water sustainability for global endorheic river basins.
